Authority Releases Seven Decisions
The Authority released decisions on seven complaints today. The Authority declined to determine two of the complaints (exercising its power under s11 of the Broadcasting Act) and did not uphold the remaining five. Four of the complaints related to radio broadcasts and the remaining three complaints related to television broadcasts. A number of different standards were raised in the complaints including discrimination and denigration, balance and fairness.
