Changes to FTA TV timebands and classifications and refreshed Codebook take effect today
Changes to timebands and classification requirements on free-to-air television and the refreshed Broadcasting Standards in New Zealand Codebook (2020 Edition) take effect today. The 2020 Codebook is available on our website here. The 2020 Codebook applies to all programmes broadcast from 1 May 2020. The 2016 Codebook requirements apply to programmes broadcast prior to 1 May 2020 and is available here.
